Meeting Our Goal

So far, the Build A School campaign on Facebook is going very well! A big thanks to all of our donors.

Our goal is to raise $40,000 by the New Year! WOW. That's not much time...So far we have raised $4,500 - not including our Facebook donations which total around $300.

Help us get the word out! We are looking forward to building a relationship with our Facebook fans, so that the orphanage and school feel like something you directly impact - because you do!

These children have a wonderful attitude and so much optimism! Thank you for supporting our organization.

Goals for the Next Year

We had a board meeting last week and have decided to plan for some new and exciting things for Treasure In Heaven, hopefully taking effect in the next year:

1. Build an additional cottage to serve 12 more children.

2. Water improvement - this is a TOP priority!

3. Visit from Phil Kinzer.

4. Build a School on Facebook! Keep an eye on our page for details...

5. Food supplements for the health of the children.

6. Kent McAlister, Pam Jernigan, and Brad Gautney have ideas to build a clinic! Fantastic!

Well, that's the plan. Ambitious, yes, but we can do it with your help!

Build A School on Facebook!

Yesterday, Treasure in Heaven launched its campaign to Build A School using our Facebook page as the sole resource for funds. If we can accumulate approximately 2,000 fans, and each fan donates around $25, then we should be able to have enough funding by New Year's!

Also, we've added a little incentive here: a free roundtrip ticket to anywhere in the US that Southwest Airlines flies! Every person that donates to our program will have their name entered in a drawing for the ticket. The drawing will be held sometime toward the end of December (watch our Facebook page for details).

Hello all,

We are going to begin using our Facebook page as a platform to post short bios of the children (like on the website). Now you can get to know the kids you support, what their aspirations are, what characteristics they have, etc.
